About Amy Byers, NP

Helping Women Take Charge of Their Health

I believe women deserve more than symptom management—they deserve real answers, real solutions, and real transformation. As a functional medicine nurse practitioner, I specialize in root-cause care, guiding women through the midlife transition with clarity, confidence, and a plan that works. My mission is to help you move beyond “just getting by” so you can thrive in every area of life.

Meet Amy Byers, NP

I’m a board-certified nurse practitioner with advanced training in functional and integrative medicine. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for diverse populations—including acutely ill children, refugees, inmates, patients with chronic illness, and those in hospice. My approach goes beyond traditional healthcare by asking why symptoms are happening—not just how to manage them. With experience in both conventional and functional medicine, I’ve seen how a personalized, whole-person approach can truly transform lives.

Why I Do This Work

Like many of the women I work with, I am also a mom and have been on my own health journey. I know what it feels like to search for answers, to sense something is off, and to want more than quick fixes. This isn’t just my profession—it’s my passion. I’m constantly learning, growing, and refining my approach because I believe your health is your greatest asset.

I’ve had the privilege of caring for incredible humans across the lifespan—from newborns to elders, and from all walks of life. These experiences have shaped me not only as a practitioner, but as a person. What I’ve learned is simple yet profound: people want to feel well, to be seen and heard, to belong, and to have agency over their health. True wellness is more than the absence of disease—it’s safety, autonomy, connection, and vitality. I carry these values into every patient relationship, holding them with the care and responsibility they deserve.

Wherever you are on your journey, don’t give up—just keep going. Your future self will thank you for taking this step, and I’d be honored to walk this path with you. Let’s rewild your health together.

Rewilding is a conservation strategy that involves restoring ecosystems to a state where they can function naturally, with less human intervention. The goal is to increase biodiversity, restore natural processes, and create more biodiverse habitats for wildlife.

Rewilding is a progressive approach to conservation. It’s about letting nature take care of itself, enabling natural processes to shape land and sea, repair damaged ecosystems and restore degraded landscapes. Through rewilding, wildlife’s natural rhythms create wilder, more biodiverse habitats.

With the modern lifestyle and changes to human existence—especially for women today—I see the health journey as a call to rewilding. We are a part of nature, and now more than ever, we need to return to the basics, care for our ecosystem, and restore our natural processes, health, and well-being.

In their words:

“For the first time, I had a provider that was explaining to me what was happening and giving me answers and tools to actually change my health drastically, for the better. I have my energy back! I feel like myself again, even better. And my confidence is so high now. I know my body and how to care for myself which I can’t believe all these years prior I didn’t know at all.”

- Patient

“I don’t have to deal with my years of IBS anymore. And all the weird symptoms that crept up in my 40s are a nonissue like the fatigue, weight gain, sleep problems. I was desperate for answers and solutions and I am so glad I found Amy. All this time it was in perimenopause and no one told me until I came to Rewild Womens Health. I am extremely grateful for her care.”

- Patient

“Amy is an incredible listener, a wealth of knowledge, and a joy to work with and I feel so much better! My thyroid issues are now being so much better managed and I feel like I have my life back. My symptoms going into menopause are gone. I love having food as medicine, knowing how to move, how to actually get really sleep and the use of bioidentical hormones, what a difference!”
